Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) is providing $5.3 million over three years to fund a BioPotato Network in Atlantic Canada. The Network will focus on commercializing potato extracts, developing healthier varieties, developing pharmaceutical uses for starch, creating a new generation of bioplastics and developing biopesticides for insect control.
