ISTPCanada announces R&D projects with India

International Science and Technology Partnerships Canada Inc (ISTPCanada) — the delivery arm of the International Science and Technology Program — has announced eight R&D projects and two partnership development initiatives worth a total of $17 million. India has been a particular focus of Canada's international S&T activities, accelerating after the signing of a formal Canada-India Agreement for Scientific and Technological Cooperation in 2005 (R$, November 25/05). The projects involve a wide range of Indian and Canadian public and private sector partners in areas such as aerospace, biomedicine, alternative energy and information and communications technology. A similar announcement for projects between Canada and China was made last month (R$, June 5/08)....
