RAINBOW ACQUIRES REMAINING 60% OF QWIP TECHNOLOGIES

Rainbow Group of Companies Inc has purchased the remaining 60% of intellectual property rights in QWIP Technologies LLC it doesn't already own from ViaSpace Technologies LLC. Rainbow will proceed with commercializing. QWIP's quantum well infrared photo detector, a chip whose underlying technology was developed by the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The Edmonton-based firm is focused on acquiring rights to develop and test technologies for further exploitation. It now holds a worldwide license for the QWIP chip....
