Stephen Lougheed has been appointed president and CEO of Alberta Innovates - Technology Future, replacing the retiring Gary Albach (R$, May 21/10). A veteran entrepreneur and technology executive, Lougheed has held several positions on AITF's board of directors and most recently was acting COO, leading the development of the organization's FY12-13 operating plan. Over his career, he has founded and led several tech-based companies and has a strong track record in restructuring, realignment and business transformation.
