TACCAT Network renamed Technology Access Canada

The TACCAT Network which connects 25 college technology access centres across Canada has changed its name to Tech-Access Canada (TAC). The re- branded organization serves the research and innovation needs of specific regional economic clusters representing nine technology sectors: advanced manufacturing, agriculture, construction technology, digital media and graphic communications, environmental technology/biotechnology, food technology, healthcare technology nanotechnology and transportation (R$, April 18/16)….

Dahdaleh gift funds neuroscience research

McGill Univ has received a $3.5-million gift from Victor Phillip Dahdaleh, a UK-based Canadian and owner/chairman of the Dadco group of affiliated companies. The gift will be used to finance an endowed chair in neurosciences ($2 million) and support 32 scholarships for McGill students. The donation will be matched by McGill and other funders. Dadco is a privately held investment, manufacturing and trading group....
